Locusts (Tiddi): The word 'locusts' is derived from the vulgar latin locusta meaning 'grasshopper'. Tiddi means locusts is a type of insect. Locusts are a collection of certain species of short horned grasshopper belong to a family Acrididae that have a swarming phase. These insects are usually solitary but under certain circumstances they become more abundant and change their behavior and habits. No taxonomic distinction is made between locusts and grasshopper species. Whether, a sprcies forms swarms under intermittenly suitable conditions.
