THE BIOLOGY OF WHY CORONAVIRUS IS SO DEADLY

Image
T          The spread of novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, the cause of the pandemic COVID-19 has emerged as a global matter of concern in the last couple of months. It has rapidly spread around the globe, which initially began in the city of Wuhan, People’s Republic of China and is hypothesized to originate from the group of Rhinolophus bats.  Till date, there has been no clinically proven vaccine against the SARS-CoV-2 and thus the doctors are employing the other well-known techniques, which have previously successfully tackled similar other human coronaviruses  To prevent the further spread of COVID-19, doctors are advising isolation of the infected patients, and also regular washing of hands and the use of face mask for the common people. In the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, the countries are going for nationwide lockdown as the only preventive measure to avert community transmission of this disease, which is having economic, social and psychological ...

Tardigrades

Image
"TARDIGRADES" Microscopic Earthlings known as Tardigrades, likely survived a crash  landing on the Moon surface by Israel's Beresheet probe in April, 2019.  Tardigrades are found in terrestrial, marine, and freshwater environment from the arctic to Antarctic, including great depths and altitudes. • They can withstand extreme radiation, sizzling heat, the coldest  temperatures of the universe, and decades without food. • Also known as water bears or moss piglets, they are capable of surviving temperatures  as high as 150° Celsius and as low as minus  272° Celsius albeit for a few minutes. • The grub-like, eight-legged animals can come back from being dried out of a lifeless husk for decades, withstand near zero pressure in outer space and the crushing depths of the Mariana Trench. • They are microscopic, multicellular, and one of the most durable forms of life on planet Earth. • Beresheet probe is a private mission to the Moon by Israeli non-profit spaceIL ...

Ozone for life

'WORLD OZONE DAY' Ozone for life is the motto of world ozone day 2020.  The motto of the day 'ozone for life' reminds us that ozone is important for our health on Earth and that we must continue to protect the ozone layer for our future generations.  This year we celebrate 35 years of the Vienna conventions and 35 years of protection of the Earth's ozone layer. World ozone day is annually observed to protect the ozone layer. It is celebrated annually on september 16 to raise awareness and attention to the care of the ozone layer. The day is celebrated by organising world-class conferences, lectures, exhibition nationally and internationally. This day is also organised in schools and awareness is spreading in the media. The world ozone day persists in international efforts to curb the production and release of harmful gases.  What if ozone layer is not secure.? The ozone layer is a layer of ozone molecules found in the stratosphere layer of the atmosphere between 2...

Lyme disease

LYME DISEASE; Lyme Disease also known as Lyme borreliosis. It is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Borrelia Burgdorferi.  Deer ticks can carry the bacteria that cause Lyme disease. Lyme disease is caused by four main species of bacteria. BORRELIA BURGDORFERI AND BORRELIA MAYONII cause Lyme disease in the united states.  How COVID and LYME are similar.? Covid-19 and lyme patients can both present with mental symptoms. Complex immune responses and symptoms are often induced by both covid and lyme Both can present with few symptoms and can mimic other illness. Both are global disease. lyme disease and COVID  have been found on every continent except Antarctia. Both have multiple strains; 1] Borrelia has 52 known species 21 are known to cause lyme disease. 2] COVID -19 has mutated in to atleast 30 strains so far. Both are Zoonotic disease. Corona virus, COVID-19 and Lyme Disease are similar but there are some differences.? lyme disease typically peak in the summer...

The core of saving wildlife

Image
'' SCIENCE IS THE CORE OF SAVING WILDLIFE.'' Well, Science is the core of saving wildlife. A new space based- technology tracking animals globally could be a game- changer. ICARUS [ International Cooperation for Animal Research  using space]  is the space system will monitor wildlife on earth. This space-based approach is led by MARTIN WIKELSKI, the director of migration research at the max planck institute for animal behaviour in germany.  The new approach known as ICARUS- will be able to track animal across for larger areas [240 miles].   ICARUS has also shrunk the size of the transmitters the animals wear. these change will allow researchers to track flock of birds as they migrate over long distances.  It combines technology which includes SOLAR and GPS units, and new technology designed for tracking small animals. Most tracking technologies can't be attached to creatures that weigh less than 100 grams.  The new sensors advanced design also allows them t...

Paranormal activity

What is paranormal activity.? In  the 21st century why do so many people still believe in the paranormal.? psychologist studying religion have long suspected that a belief in the paranormal can be a kind of sheild from truth of the world. when something unexpected happens- '' a death natural disaster or job loss- the brain scrambles around for answers, looking for meaning in the chaos. paranormal activity is a supernatural phenomena or ghost studies.  In this phenomena a researcher interact with a died spirit to communicate through waves.  The paranormal can be best be thought as a subset of pseudoscience. paranormal apart from other pseudosciences is a reliance on explanations for alleged phenomena that are well outside the bounds of established science. thus, paranormal phenomena include extrasensory perception, telekinesis, ghost, life after death reincarnation, faith healing, human auras, and so forth. some scientist have criticised the media for promotin...

Brain and Behaviour

Image
Brain and Behaviour:   Before I started can anyone tell me how Brain affect on our behaviour.? In earliest time, scientist researched that how brain actually work? Scientists studied how the human brain works- how we think, remember and learn? Psychologist studied how people acquire, perceive, receive and store information. Scientist thought a various scenario that they decided to research on alive monkey's brain. Somehow it is not possible to research on humans brain. Scientists research on alive monkey's brain to find out behaviour of brain or different functions of brain...!! Now, how psychologist done? They experiment on a monkey's brain. They took a fine thin rod which was dimensionally point in the monkey's brain. When a thin rod touch to ( cerebellum ) they saw in a x- ray machine that the sensation is happened and control of motor system of brain. And that's how scientist find out the  different parts or functions of human brain. Now, a days we have a differ...
